Get Consistent, Get Fitter!

Most people join a gym after realizing that they need to make a change to their body composition. This could be due to medical complications or just to look and feel better. They usually have high expectations from the results of their workout and are well motivated in the first few weeks. However, when their unrealistic goals are not met they start losing motivation and become less consistent with their exercise routine. This is where they go wrong. Consistency is the key to success in the gym. Most people fail to realize that it would at least take a few months to reverse the effects of years of poor lifestyle choices.

Consistencyin a gym means committing to a fitness regimen and mapping out a plan for an activity or a series of activities that can be done consistently which thereby gives results. Some people become energized about working out and they make it a regular practice while on the other hand there are people who initially enjoy the fitness routine but in course of time they lose interest. In the later case unless there is a long-term plan in place or some thought is given to how a fitness activity will be sustained there is very slim chance of seeing any results.Such failure to sustain their interest in any fitness regimen is called inconsistency.
